Margaret
J. Meeker, MD, has spent the past twenty years
practicing pediatric and adolescent medicine and
counseling teens and parents. She is board certified
by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow
of the American Academy of Pediatrics as well
as the National Advisory Board of the Medical
Institute. A graduate of Mt. Holyoke College in
Massachusetts and the University of Cincinnati
College of Medicine, Dr. Meeker completed her
pediatric residency at Childrens Hospital
of Wisconsin in 1987. She subsequently taught
medical students and physicians-in-training in
Massachusetts at Baystate Medical Center of Tufts
University.
Dr.
Meeker has spoken nationally on teen health issues,
including personal appearances on numerous nationally
syndicated radio and television programs including
Dr. Laura and The 700 Club. Dr.
Meeker also writes for Physician Magazine
and was a contributor to The Complete Book
of Baby and Child Care (Tyndale House Publishers).
Dr.
Meekers passion is to improve the physical,
emotional and spiritual health of todays
teenagers.
Dr.
Meeker lives and works in Traverse City, MI where
she shares a medical practice with her husband,
Walter. They have four children, (three of them
are teenagers).
